When I decided to try painting, I hugely lacked self-confidence and wasn't sure of I was up to it. So I gave myself a challenge for this, my first painting, and decided to start big and ambitious on a large canvas. I painted rubbish discarded in the street. It took six weeks. I knew in the end my painting may be rubbish, and it is.
